WHAT IS PROSTHODONTICS?

Prosthodontics is one of the twelve dental specialties recognized by the National Commission. The overall goals are improved oral function, appearance, health and quality of life for patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. The speciality encompasses:

  • Treatment Planning

  • Rehabilitation

  • Maintenance

Prosthodontists receive advanced training and education in a CODA-accredited graduate program. They are considered the leaders of the dental treatment plan and regularly lead teams of general dentists and other specialists to develop solutions for your needs. Prosthodontists are extensively trained in state-of-the-art techniques and procedures for treating complex dental conditions and restoring  function and  aesthetics.
