You or your child may have a facial defect or disability that is congenital or acquired, due to disease or trauma. Maxillofacial Prosthetics involves replacing missing areas of bone or tissue in the jaw and oral cavity, in addition to rehabilitation of missing or damaged teeth.

Prostheses can restore oral tissues and functions such as chewing, swallowing, and speech. Dr. Ferro has experience working with patients who have trauma from an accident or undergone oral cancer treatments. A patient may need specialized care  if born without full development of their ears, teeth or palate. Dr. Ferro has restored many patients with prostheses that greatly improved their quality of life. These include replacement of teeth, the tissues adjacent to teeth, and localized defects replacing the outer ear (auricle). Maxillofacial prosthetics can be truly life-changing.
